If you are a New Patient and have not seen Dr Florence before, please book a New Patient Appointment.
Your appointment will be 45 minutes and may include treatment and an x-ray referral (Bulk Billed) if clinically appropriate.
Please complete the Online New Patient Form you will be sent, prior to your appointment.
It is best if you wear comfortable clothes that are easy to move in, to your appointment.
Private Health and CDM Plans are accepted at New Patient Appointments.
RETURN APPOINTMENTS
If you have seen Dr Florence before, please book either a Standard Extended Appointment (30 minutes) or Standard Short Appointment (20 minutes).
Standard Extended Appointments are more appropriate for those looking for more soft-tissue release & massage and functional movement education, which is important at the start of care.
EXTENDED (60 minute) RETURN APPOINTMENT with Soft Tissue / Myofascial Focus, is also available with additional time dedicated to soft tissue techniques and movement-based care. This session includes assessment as clinically required and tailored manual therapy to address muscle tension, mobility restrictions and musculoskeletal concerns. Treatment may include soft tissue therapy, joint-based techniques and rehabilitation advice where appropriate.
PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE & GP CDM PLANS
Private Health Insurance and GP CDM (Chronic Disease Management) Plans are accepted from your initial appointment with Dr Florence. If you already have a CDM plan, you can email the plan to florachiropractic.au@gmail.com or bring the documents to your appointment.

Chiropractic is a modeality focussed on the neuromusculoskeletal system, and uses a variety of techniques to help people with pain, poor coordination, balance issues, weakness and dysfunction, postural complaints, stress, sleep disorders, neurological conditions and injuries.

There are many ways to achieve an adjustment, for example manually or with an activator. An adjustment itself is a very low force but quick movement of a joint through its normal range of motion (that is otherwised reduced), and may create a popping noise called a ‘cavitation’.

The ‘popping’ or ‘cracking’ noise is called a cavitation, and it is small nitrogen air bubbles popping in the liquid of the joint capsule as the adjustment takes place. The noise and popping isn’t essential for an adjustment to occur, but is very common.

Wear whatever is easy and comfortable to move in. Various soft-tissue techniques may require layers of clothing to be removed, but your comfort is the forefront of any appointment, so wear what makes you feel most happy.

No! Consent to care is the most important thing, and if you are not comfortable being adjusted (or recieving any type of care) you do not need to be adjusted.
There are many ways to achieve the same outcome, which is why various modalities are used, so any treatment is decided together.

Yes! I see children and teens from the age of 8yrs old upwards.
My focus is on neuromuskuloseletal changes and impacts that can create effects of children’s behaviour / sleep / concentration / pain & discomfort / growth and development.
Scoliosis is a particular interest and childhood is an important time to assess for any growth imbalances such as this.

Yes! Chiropractic management has been found to help ease MSK symptoms during pregnancy and even impact labour positively.
Chiro management for pregnant women is more gentle and focused on creating positive pathways for the body to adapt throughout pregnancy and post-natal changes.

We understand that life can be unpredictable and that sometimes appointments need to be changed.
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we kindly ask that you provide at least 24 hours' notice.
Appointments cancelled, rescheduled, or missed with less than 24 hours' notice will incur a 50% cancellation fee. This fee helps cover the reserved appointment time, which is often difficult to fill at short notice.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us provide timely care for all patients.

We aim to run on time to respect every patient's appointment.
If you arrive late, we will do our best to accommodate you within your remaining appointment time. However, your treatment may need to be shortened to avoid delaying other patients.
If you arrive too late for treatment to be safely or effectively completed, your appointment may need to be rescheduled and may be subject to our cancellation policy.

We accept cash, EFTPOS, Visa, Mastercard and HICAPS for eligible private health fund claims. Medicare rebates may be available for patients attending under an approved GP Chronic Disease Management (CDM) Plan.
